Last year 26th August 2009, I was joined my friends to Hytai, Thailand for praying while travelling for 3 days 2 nights. It was my first time of travel to Hytai. I have a good and bad feedback from my travel to Hytai. The best part of it is, the Thai Food is very unique, delicious and adapted to Malaysian taste. Public transport is far more convenient and cheap …have you travel by do..do..car before. One person is only 20baht (RM2.00). Most of the local people are warm and friendly, maybe their lifestyle is more simple than city life. They are very hardworking especially the women. I would like to share my experience in Hytai. Below are some photos I have taken. There were 10,000 monks to collect contributions from all the donors. Everyone wore white shirt and pants on the day of praying to the Buddha. White color means purity. We sit along the road and distributed our contributions to the monks.

WWOOF is an acronym which stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. This cultural exchange allows members from all around the world that are interested in learning about Organic farms to volunteer their services by working at Host establishments. These members called, WWOOFers, will be given the opportunity to work on Organic farms with their WWOOF host in exchange for housing and food. Through this experience, WWOOFers will learn about farming practices and gain skills necessary for Organic farming. For more information, browse http://www.wwoof.org

It’s been seven years since my sister get married. Her elder daughter Lisa is 6 years old, and Mandy is 5 years old.

They have been rise up in a happy family. They are intelligent, cute and demanding. I found that modern children are very demanding and expecting returns all the time.  Looking at them, and compare myself when I was a child was a large difference. We didn’t aim anything or expecting anything from parents because my parents are poor at that time. Now, I have grown up. I am aiming my life, take responsible ti my life to take care of my parents because I know now it is time for me to taking care of time. I can’t afford to give much money every month because I do not earn a lot. But, they are still happy because I always give them what they need, not just what they want.

I have a friend who have just started to become a vegetarian. I am so impressed

that she has a faith to do this. It is not a hard decision to become a vegetarian.

But, the process that you carry on reflects your confidence to do something.

I love life. I love to live better and healthy. I am educating myself to become a

vegetarian now because I know someday I am going to become a vegetarian

too. I was told that they are three categories of vegetarian. The first is Lacto-

ovo vegetarian. They don’t take any meat, but they take eggs and milk. The

second is Lacto vegetarian. They don’t take meat and eggs, but they take milk.

These two categories are very similiar. While, the third is Vegan. They don’t take

any meat, eggs and milk at all. If you are a vegetarian, which categories are you

in? I think I am out of these three categories because I like milk, cheese, eggs

and even fish. Although I want to become a vegetarian, but I don’t hesitate to

give up nutrition foods. Fish contains iron which is important for our body.

Maybe I could find another source of food to replace it.

It was my 1st presentation in front of my class mates and we are required toprepare well

before we stood at the front and present our story. I remember Iwas encounter some

difficulties due to the slow respond from the web. But, I still carried on my presentation

while the web is loading. I was nervous and became serious like I was scared all the people

away from the class. Though, my classmates took patient to listen and respond to me during

my entire presentation. I also show and provide extra information which I took from

newspaper. It was a good article to read about because it told us about self-sufficient. What

is the meaning behind these words? All the while, Malaysian foods supply is imported from

overseas, including rice. If we don’t grow more paddy, we will be facing serious problems in

feeding. Therefore, the only option was to buy imported rice with higher price. Any low

incomer may face difficulties to afford all this.

The latest news was announced that government will subsides some funds and will reduce

the selling price of the rice start from 1 June 2008. I think this is a good news for all of us

and I hope government will carry on the self sufficient plan and also go green in the future.
